چکیده
Wastewater collection systems (WCSs) not only play an indispensable role in urban life but also significantly contribute to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Based on extensive literature research, this study (1) summarizes current research the production mechanisms, influencing factors, control techniques, and quantitative estimates of GHGs emitted from WCSs (2) presents initial total GHG emissions China. A variety factors affect production, standard methods are still lacking quantify WCSs. China’s emit approximately 3.86–15.35 Mt CO2eq annually (equivalent 5.1–20.2% wastewater treatment). Thus, significant deserve attention. Control can be achieved through application chemical agents, while construction a green stormwater infrastructure further facilitate reductions. This review provides valuable insights for policymakers consider future policy planning related reduction improved operation Future should focus quantifying impacts various accumulating field data regions development standardized calculation methods.

Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Wastewater Treatment System
Besides its great potential in controlling water pollution from different sources, waste water treatment system generates significant amount of greenhouse gases. Hence, reducing the emission of greenhouse gases from the wastewater treatment plants is the major concern. The correct understanding and estimation of the greenhouse gases emitted from different points of the plan is essential to tack...
متن کاملGreenhouse gas emissions from rice
Rice provides the staple food for over 60% of the world’s population. Globally 80% of rice is grown by small farmers in low income and developing nations, and in India rice farming is a key source of employment for the 60% of Indian workers still dependent on agriculture for work. Yet rice production is also an important source of greenhouse gas emissions, for example responsible for between 3 ...
متن کاملLinkage of greenhouse gas emissions trading systems: learning from experience
The last ten years have seen the growth of linkages between many of the world’s cap-and-trade systems for greenhouse gases (GHGs), both directly between systems, and indirectly via connections to credit systems such as the Clean Development Mechanism. If nations have tried to act in their own self-interest, this proliferation of linkages implies that for many nations, the expected benefits of l...
